Nick Thomas-Symonds visited local animal charity All Creatures Great and Small this week at their Llanfrechfa sanctuary, to see the work they do in providing welfare and medical care for animals that are brought to the sanctuary.

The sanctuary operates a programme of rehabilitation and re-homing of injured, abused, unwanted and orphaned animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, and have been serving the community in South East Wales since 1992.

Throughout his time as Torfaen Member of Parliament, Mr Thomas-Symonds has been a passionate advocate of animal welfare, and it is an issue that he takes incredibly seriously in his role as Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade.

The Torfaen MP commented: “I was delighted to visit the All Creatures Great and Small Sanctuary today to see the fantastic work they do in caring for so many animals.

The UK is a nation of animal lovers and I know that the issue of animal welfare is a huge concern for so many constituents across Torfaen.

I will continue to be a dedicated campaigner on animal welfare, and as Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade, I will promote the high animal welfare standards this country prides itself on.”
