This week marked National Postal Workers Day and Nick Thomas-Symonds paid a visit to Pontypool Delivery Office to thank postal workers across Torfaen for their work over Christmas and throughout the pandemic.
Whether it has been making sure people receive vital medication and their invites for vaccines, raising spirits by dressing as superheroes, or making sure cards and presents get to loved ones over the Christmas period – postal workers have always stepped up to serve their communities.
National Postal Workers Day was marked on Monday 13th December and people across the nation shared their own message of thanks to local posties.
On the visit to Pontypool Delivery Office, the Torfaen MP said: ‘National Postal Workers Day gave us all a chance to recognise how important the job of a postal worker is. While we all stayed at home, they were on the frontline keeping communities connected.
I was delighted to meet postal workers in Pontypool Delivery Office today and give them my personal thanks for the tireless work they do in such challenging times.’
